Our Story

Why Are We Here? Cultivating a Return To Purposeful Living

For generations, small family farms formed the heartbeat of American agriculture—rooted in stewardship, self-reliance, and community. But today, rising land prices, corporate consolidation, and vanishing farmland have made it nearly impossible for new farmers to get started—especially here in the Treasure Valley.

Project Farmland is here to change that.

We’re reimagining what farm life can look like in the modern world—offering affordable access to land, shared tools and infrastructure, and a vibrant support system where families grow food, raise animals, and raise each other up.

  • Shared infrastructure—essential equipment, greenhouses and composting systems make it financially feasible to farm sustainably.
  • Onsite commerce—at The Barn, our marketplace and community hub, farmers connect directly with customers and neighbors.
  • Education & mentorship—hands-on programs for families, students, and beginning farmers pass on the skills and values of land stewardship.

A Movement That Grows Beyond the Farm

Our pilot program isn’t just about preserving farmland—it’s about planting the seeds of a new rural revival. One where families live with purpose, where food dollars stay local, and where a thriving ecosystem supports not just crops, but communities.

And we’re just getting started.

Our long-term vision is to replicate this model across the Treasure Valley and beyond—each farmstead neighborhood a beacon of resilience, rooted in tradition, and blooming with opportunity.

The Barn and The Greenhouse are more than just buildings.
They are where:

  • Families gather around long tables and a shared meal.
  • Generations come together to learn the old ways and dream up new ones.
  • Commerce, connection, and purpose are cultivated side by side.

Project Farmland is where tradition meets innovation. Where people are once again connected to their land, their food, and each other.
