The U-Pick experience at Project Farmland will be more than a community orchard. It will be a place where visitors can wander tree-lined rows, gather ripe fruit, and experience the simple joy of harvest.
Peaches, apples, cherries, and berries will be grown with care and offered seasonally—inviting families and neighbors to take part in traditions shaped by land, food, and shared moments.
This orchard is designed to be more than a destination for picking. It reflects a living system where every part has purpose. Fruit that isn’t harvested will return to the land—feeding farm animals, enriching compost, and supporting our vermiculture and biochar systems. Seasonal prunings will be transformed into soil-building amendments, closing the loop and nourishing the orchard for future seasons.
Through this cycle of growth, harvest, and renewal, the orchard becomes a visible expression of Project Farmland’s commitment to regenerative practices.
And perhaps most importantly, each visit offers more than fresh fruit—it offers memories that last. A place where hands get sticky, conversations linger, and new family traditions quietly take shape, season after season.

The lavender and flower fields at Project Farmland will be designed as places to wander, breathe, and slow down. Rows of lavender and seasonal blooms invite visitors to move at an unhurried pace—gathering flowers, enjoying their fragrance, and taking in the beauty of a working landscape in bloom.
These fields will offer seasonal U-Pick experiences throughout spring, summer, and fall, with different varieties coming into their own as the seasons change. From early blooms to late-summer lavender and fall color, each visit offers something new—marking time through growth, harvest, and renewal.
Care for these fields will continue well beyond the picking season. Trimmings and spent plant material will be thoughtfully collected, broken down, and returned to the land through composting—feeding soil health and supporting the next cycle of growth. In this way, nothing is wasted, and each season quietly prepares the ground for the next.

Designed as living habitat rather than a destination, Project Farmland’s pollinator fields support native bees, honeybees, and beneficial insects essential to healthy farms and orchards. These fields will be planted with diverse, seasonal blooms that provide continuous forage from spring through fall—strengthening pollination across the farm while restoring ecological
balance to the land.
Our working apiaries will be thoughtfully integrated into these fields, supporting both honey production and hands-on stewardship. Hive placements are intentional, designed to protect bee health while contributing to orchard productivity, seed development, and long-term soil vitality.
Trimmed plant material and spent blooms will be returned to compost and soil-building systems, ensuring nutrients cycle back into the land.
While not a U-Pick experience, the pollinator fields will offer a visible reminder that farming success depends on more than crops alone. They reflect a commitment to regenerative practices—where habitat, agriculture, and stewardship work together to support resilient farms and thriving ecosystems for generations to come.
